Foster the People: Torches

I finally listened to these guys only a week or so ago. I had heard the name brought up on other blogs and hip scenes but hadn’t bothered to pay much attention. Until now… (dramatic movie trailer voice)
If Helena Beat isn’t one of the catchiest tunes you hear this year then I just don’t know what is. The album credits are basically a who’s-who list of top producers, so it makes sense why. On the whole, it’s as if MGMT had kept making catchy electronic infused songs (rather than spiraling down into an obtuse psychedelic rock album). Here’s to more fostering of people.
